Description: Provide effective leadership and supervision to a centralized cafeteria staff; plan, organize, and participate in the preparation, cooking, baking and serving of a variety of foods in quantity; train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff in the cafeteria and at satellite sites.
Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of methods of preparing, cooking and serving food in large quantities; principles and practices of supervision and training; budget maintenance; inventory methods and practices; nutritional requirements of school-aged children; standard liquid and dry measurements; sanitation and safety practices related to cooking and serving food.
Ability to maintain an efficient and financially sound centralized cafeteria operation; train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; plan, organize, supervise, and participate in the preparation, cooking, baking and serving of a variety of foods in quantity; operate commercial kitchen equipment and appliances; lift heavy containers of food and materials; estimate food quantities and supplies needed and order correct amounts for economical food service; follow health and sanitation requirements; prepare reports and maintain records; understand and follow oral and written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Custodian (Full-time)

Description: Perform a variety of cleaning tasks in an assigned school; perform routine groundskeeping and minor maintenance work.
Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of modern cleaning methods including basic methods of cleaning and preserving floors, black boards, carpets, furniture, walls and fixtures. Groundskeeper at Bear Creek High School (Full-time)
Length of Work Year: 12 months / 260 Workdays
Salary: $14.88 – $18.06 Per Hour
Hours: 8 Per Day from 6:00am – 2:30pm
Description: Perform grounds maintenance of District and school grounds, athletic fields and landscaped areas; operate a variety of light or heavy power and grounds equipment.
Desirable Qualifications:Knowledge of methods, equipment and materials used in groundskeeping work; operation and maintenance of hand and power tools and equipment used in groundskeeping; cultivating, fertilizing, watering and spraying of flowers, trees and shrubs; methods and materials used in controlling pests, insects and weeds; proper operation of heavy grounds equipment; basic maintenance and repair of irrigation system; basic record-keeping techniques; proper lifting techniques.
Ability to perform general grounds maintenance duties safely including mowing, edging and weeding; mow, edge, water, weed, fertilize, rake and cultivate lawns, flower beds, athletic fields and other landscaped areas; apply specialized chemicals to control and eradicate weeds, insects and other pests; operate heavy power equipment used in groundskeeping work; perform minor repairs of grounds tools and equipment; sharpen mowing equipment using precision equipment; perform heavy manual labor; observe legal and defensive driving practices; understand and follow oral and written instructions; and establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Paraeducator – Special Ed (RSP) (Part-time)

Salary: $12.68 – $15.42/hr
Hours: 6 Hrs Per Day
Location: Bear Creek High School
Description: Increasingly responsible experience in working with school-age children in an organized setting. Assist in providing instruction to individual or small groups of special education students in a classroom; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; perform a variety of clerical duties as assigned.
Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of special needs, issues and requirements of students with disabilities; basic subjects taught in District schools, including arithmetic, science, grammar, spelling, language and reading; safe practices in classroom and playground activities; correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary; reading and writing communication skills; interpersonal relations skills using tact, patience and courtesy; basic record-keeping techniques; classroom procedures and conduct; and operation of a computer and assigned software.
Ability to assist certificated staff with instruction and related activities for special education students; assist students in developing self-help and social skills; perform clerical duties such as filing, duplicating and maintaining routine records; print and write legibly; make arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately; understand and follow oral and written directions; learn the procedures, functions and limitations of assigned duties; communicate effectively with children and adults; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; restrain and discipline students according to approved policies and procedures; operate a computer, and various instructional and office equipment.
